“Knowledge” by Sophie Dumont offers an exploration of the convergence between literature and the visual arts. The canvas presents a green library with colorful books, painted in oil and with a knife, where the book becomes less an everyday object than a profound evocation of culture. The work transcends the traditional representation of the library by incorporating an abstract and geometric dimension, while maintaining the tangible presence of the books.

The use of the palette knife and the layering of multiple layers creates a rich and complex texture, inviting the viewer into in-depth visual exploration. Lines and colors combine harmoniously, evoking a fusion between visual elements and imaginary texts. This symbiosis between literary and visual arts is perceptible, creating an immersive visual experience.

The artist’s bookcase series finds particular expression in “Knowledge”, where geometric abstraction coexists with the realistic representation of books. The dimensions of the painting, with frame, provide ample space for the viewer to delve into the subtle details and nuances of the work.

Framing with an American box in black wood or natural wood, your choice, adds an additional aesthetic dimension to the whole. The edges of the painting are carefully painted, showing the artist’s meticulous attention to peripheral details.

The Cote Akoun certification confirms the artistic value of the work, bringing institutional recognition to Sophie Dumont’s career. In summary, “Ondes Littéraires” emanates an atmosphere of intellectual and visual exploration, marked by the encounter between shapes, colors and imaginary stories, making this work a significant contribution to the intersection of the literary and artistic worlds.
