Description
Tindari Azzurro (Blue Tindari) looks out over the sea towards the headland of Tindari, on the northern coast of Sicily. The blue mass of the cape rises on the horizon under a pale, cloudy sky, while the water in the foreground is built from short strokes of blue, white, grey and green. Painted in oil on canvas in 1990, the work has a soft, luminous palette and a vibrant surface in which sea and sky seem to shimmer together.
