ARTIST’S NOTE
“Blue Stone” immerses us in a dynamic interplay of color, light, and reflection. Antonino Puliafico uses thick, vibrant strokes with a palette knife to depict a solitary stone resting in sparkling water. Rich blues and greens contrast with fiery oranges and yellows, suggesting the dance of sunlight across the surface.
With each layer of paint, Puliafico adds a sense of movement and energy, making it feel as though the water is gently rippling around the stone. The artist’s technique brings modern impressionism to life, fusing expressive abstraction with glimpses of the real world. This piece offers a moment of peaceful observation, celebrating the small yet captivating wonders of nature.
