Beschrijving
The plastic approach asserts itself here through an immediate and instinctive gesture.
A chromatic tension settles between a deep red and flashes of pure white.
The movement guides the eye through intertwined curves and dense superimpositions.
This abstract composition draws its source from a telluric energy, far from academic codes.
The artist abandons the straight line for a swirling, almost hypnotic rhythm.
The traces of oil paint accumulate in successive layers, creating a tactile relief.
Areas of black shadow come to structure the space and accentuate the visual contrast.
The material is worked with a spontaneity that recalls gestural currents.
The whole evokes a dialogue between the earth and the dream, where forms fade in favor of raw emotion.
The final rendering is characterized by marked drips and impasto, dated 2020.
