The cream whites and grayish blues open up the space, while the deep blues and dark greens give it its foundation. Accents of terracotta and brown red punctuate this balance. In the center, an orange half-disk responds to the light curves and the scattered circular elements in the composition, drawing the eye from one area to another.
Worked in oil, knife, and brush, the surface retains the traces of successive layers, scrapes, and reworkings. This irregular material makes the geometry vibrate and nuances the sharpness of the contours. The title evokes the meeting of distinct rhythms that cross, disturb, and build a balance together.
