Description
Sophie Dumont’s painting offers a captivating vision of a library where the books, in vibrant colors, escape any figurative constraints. The artist unleashes his artistic expression by orchestrating an organized disorder among the colorful books, transcending the limits of realistic representation.
The harmony between literature and the visual arts flourishes in this work, skillfully merging lines, colors and imaginary texts. Although close to geometric abstraction, the essence of the books remains deeply anchored in the composition.
Sophie Dumont shapes the canvas with remarkable expertise, carefully superimposing several layers of oil which give a tactile texture to the whole. This piece is part of the Libraries series, exploring the symbiosis between literary and visual creativity.
