Description
En face shows a face drawn in loose violet lines on the raw canvas, with patches of pink, orange and red marking the eyes, nose and mouth. A green background surrounds the head, and below, blocks of colour and quick scribbles suggest the shoulders and clothing. The free, childlike line of art brut gives the portrait a disarming directness. Painted in acrylic on canvas, the work by Nep is signed at the lower right.
