Description
Oil on canvas – 100 x 100 cm (framed format: 107 x 107 cm in black American box or natural wood, your choice) Original signed artwork – Ready to hang – Certificate of authenticity provided.
In The Pursuit of Thought, Sophie Dumont explores the rhythms of memory through a stylized library. Three shelves, vertical or horizontal bookcases, silent blocks that suggest stories without telling them.
The soft palette—weathered whites, grays, matte blacks, ochres, muted blues—converses with the material applied with a knife. Each element seems suspended in a balance between structure and emotion.
This painting is part of the artist’s iconic series, in which the book becomes painting, interior design, and visual music. A powerful and soothing work for lovers of sensitive, abstract contemporary art.
