Description
Exclusive to Belart Gallery.
A powerful expression of telluric energy. This 2020 oil painting emerges from the singular spirit of a self-taught Moroccan creator. The approach is immediate and gestural. Bold black strokes collide with a stark white background. The composition evokes a dizzying swirl. Fragmented features suggest a face emerging from an abstract void. It is a study of time and identity. The artist draws from ancestral representations and the raw soil of Essaouira. This artwork avoids the constraints of academic art. It embraces a primordial strength reminiscent of Art Brut. Heavy overlays and drips create a sense of rhythmic chaos. The visual language bridges the gap between traditional motifs and modern abstraction. Dark, sweeping lines intersect to form a complex web of emotion. The gaze is haunting and fragmented. Every mark reveals a deep connection to the earth and the subconscious. The final result is a visceral portrait of a spiritual state, defined by high contrast and raw movement.
