Description
In The Arches of Time, Sophie Dumont develops an architectural abstraction where arches, curves, and verticals seem to emerge from a silent memory. The composition is organized around balanced yet deliberately imperfect geometric forms, creating a sensation of interior space and the passage of time.
Muted greens, ochres, off-whites, and deep reds compose a subtle and timeless palette. The multiple layers of oil paint, the transparencies, and the vibrations of the material bring depth and presence to the whole.
Between geometric abstraction and architectural evocation, this contemporary work explores the notion of structure, erosion and memory, in a calm and meditative atmosphere.
Original artwork created with oil on canvas. Black American-style frame. Signed and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
