L'instant Majorelle VII, 2024

This resplendent work depicts a lush garden with unparalleled precision and mastery. Every detail is meticulously crafted, creating a visual symphony of textures and hues. Dominating the scene, abundant tropical vegetation, rich in variety and nuance, is revealed with vigor. Majestic palm trees soar skyward, their gnarled trunks contrasting with the delicacy of the leaves. In the foreground, a captivating pond takes center stage, adorned with water lilies that float gracefully on the surface of the crystal-clear water. The reflective effect of the water is sublimely captured, magnifying the reflections of the surrounding flora and adding an almost dreamlike dimension to the composition. The edges of the pond are Majorelle blue, delineating the aquatic space with a geometric elegance that contrasts with the surrounding wilderness. A particularly striking detail is the presence of a bright red terracotta pot, strategically placed on the edge of the pond. This architectural element disrupts the natural harmony with its bold color contrast, while serving as a focal point. It immediately draws the eye, inviting the viewer to a more attentive contemplation of the nuances and subtleties of the work. The finely modulated play of light brings exceptional depth and reinforces the impression of richness and diversity of this tropical Eden. Shadow and light dance together, enveloping certain areas in mystery while illuminating others with dazzling clarity. This painting is a masterful celebration of nature, a vibrant homage to the botanical diversity and ephemeral beauty of exotic gardens. It transcends mere representation to touch the very essence of serenity and contemplation. The pastel is delivered protected by glassine paper, and must be placed under glass for its final protection by a professional.
