Description
In the golden shadow of the salons of Versailles, he stands, dressed in velvet and silk. A baroque garment, echo of wild revisions.
His book in hand, "Journal of an Old Bastard," reminds him of his reflections on life, death, and disgrace.
Ah, the court, that theater where appearances perform! He observes vanity, that powerful lover, and laughs at those oh-so-futile desires of a world where one dances on the edge of the abyss, where time is killed with the smoke of a pipe, and one weeps in silence, searching for rhymes.
An old bastard, yes—but oh, how lucid amid the shadows and the candlelight.
