Tarek

Tarek (Tarek Ben Yakhlef) is a multifaceted French artist, illustrator, and comic author born in Paris in 1971. Immersed in urban culture from a young age, he studied history and art history at the Sorbonne before making a major mark on the street art movement. At just 20 years old, he published *Paris Tonkar*, the very first book dedicated to graffiti in Europe, giving a pioneer platform to urban artists and documenting the rise of street culture.

Over the years, Tarek expanded his artistic focus beyond aerosol art into photography, illustration, and acclaimed comic books. His vibrant work features modern, endearing characters and a distinct fusion of street art and graphic narrative. Listed on Artprice since 2014, his pieces are held in public and private collections, museums, and corporate spaces across the globe—from Paris and New York to Tokyo, São Paulo, and Dakar.
