Beschrijving
This captivating work depicts an underwater landscape where the majesty of bleached corals inspires poignant reflection on the environment. Under light filtered through the surface, the palette of deep blues contrasts with the brilliant white of the corals, evoking both beauty and fragility. The meticulous details depict a variety of intricately shaped coral structures, testifying to the reefs’ lost richness. The artist accurately captures the delicate texture of the corals, with each brushstroke highlighting the impact of their bleaching. The serene atmosphere is deceptive, prompting the viewer to contemplate the ecological emergency. This striking illustration is a testament to the power of art as a means of raising awareness, raising much-needed awareness of the threats facing our oceans. The work, both aesthetically appealing and meaningful, inspires profound reflection on the interconnectedness between nature and humanity. The pastel is delivered protected by glassine paper, ready to be placed under glass by a professional for its final protection.
