Beschrijving
The Abstract Landscapes of Sophie Dumont: Capturing the Essence of the Norman Fields.
In the world of contemporary art, Sophie Dumont stands out as a master of abstraction, effortlessly weaving the essence of nature into her canvases. His abstract landscapes, with a particular focus on the fields of Normandy, offer viewers a unique and captivating perspective on the natural world. The pictorial act is no longer seen in the representation of the initial model, but in the treatment of the material for itself. Sophie Dumont treats this landscape in an almost abstract way by bringing her vision to it. The palette is predominantly turquoise blue and ocher; there are numerous layers applied with a knife and brush which gives a beautiful texture to the canvas. This painting is framed with an American black wooden box.
