Beschrijving
This captivating artwork depicts a lush scene of nature, centered on a beautifully detailed passionflower. Its vibrant purple petals stand out boldly against the dense green foliage, creating a striking and harmonious contrast. The composition is balanced, with an expert use of light filtering through the leaves, casting delicate shadows on the earthy-toned brick wall in the background. The pure blue sky adds another dimension, evoking a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The meticulous detail of the leaf veins and the flower’s textures testifies to a high level of artistic precision. This work does not merely represent nature; it celebrates it, inviting the viewer to admire the wild and unpredictable beauty of the natural world.
The artwork was presented and exhibited at the 2024 Salon du Dessin et peinture à l’eau (Drawing and Watercolor Fair) at the Grand Palais. The pastel is presented with its white mat, protected by glassine paper, ready to be framed under glass for permanent preservation.
