Beschrijving
The artist offers you a black or natural wood frame.
Created by contemporary French artist Sophie Dumont, “Trames du Temps” is part of a sensitive research around memory, silence and time. Trained in the techniques of material painting and nourished by the heritage of European abstraction, Sophie Dumont superimposes countless layers of oil to create a surface of remarkable richness and depth.
This work belongs to his series, where the book becomes a metaphor for the passage of time, the accumulation of knowledge and silent memory. With its complex textures and soft, timeless palette, “Trames du Temps” invites meditative contemplation, where each roughness of the support tells a silent story.
Style: Minimalist abstraction, Material painting Themes: Memory, Time, Book, Silence Special Features: Exceptional texture, layered build-up, subtle and sculptural palette
