Description
Style: Gestural abstraction / contemporary expressionism Technique: Palette knife, dough Orientation: Landscape Original: Yes — one-of-a-kind artwork
Description Heat Haze is a compact yet powerful abstract composition that translates the sensation of heat into gesture, color, and tension.
Painted entirely with a palette knife, the work is built through bold, sweeping strokes of thick oil paint. Curved forms in red, blue, green, cream, and yellow move across the canvas like currents of warm air, creating a vibrant visual rhythm. The dense impasto and layered surface give the painting a strong physical presence, allowing light to interact with the material in constantly changing ways.
Rather than depicting a scene, Heat Haze evokes an atmosphere: the shimmer of air, the compression of summer light, the restless movement of energy in space. The composition balances spontaneity and structure, making the work both expressive and visually anchored.
This painting is ideal for collectors who appreciate gestural contemporary abstraction, tactile surfaces, and bold chromatic contrasts. A distinctive original piece for modern interiors.
Materials Professional DI VOLO oil colors applied with palette knife on chalk-primed cotton canvas.
Framing Unframed — painted edges, ready to hang.
