Description
Lucciole (Fireflies) turns a meadow into a field of light. Under a bright sky of blue and white, hundreds of small dabs of red, yellow, orange, blue and black are scattered across the canvas, like flowers or fireflies glowing in the grass. Antonino Puliafico applies the oil paint in short, thick touches that catch the light and give the surface a lively texture. The result is a landscape on the edge of abstraction, where colour and rhythm count as much as the scene itself.
