Description
The work is part of the Majorelle series; the emphasis is on the shadow / light contrasts, and the bright colors of Majorelle blue and lemon yellow. The parallel is also made between the arabesques of the plants and the window, and the horizontal and vertical lines of the place, all giving an atmosphere to the Matisse. The pastel produced on a Pastelmat laminate makes it a rigid work that must be placed under glass by a professional, for its protection and durability. The work is delivered protected by a special pastel paper.
