Description
Style: Contemporary still life / gestural expressionism Technique: Palette knife, dough Orientation: Portrait Original: Yes — one-of-a-kind artwork
Description Flowers of Light transforms the traditional still life into a vivid, contemporary field of energy.
Set against a deep dark background, the bouquet seems to emerge from shadow as a burst of color and light. Painted entirely with a palette knife, the composition is built through bold oil impasto, where each stroke contributes to a sense of movement, radiance, and emotional intensity.
Rather than offering a static floral arrangement, this work presents flowers as luminous forms in motion. The vase anchors the composition, while petals and leaves seem to expand outward, creating a dynamic tension between structure and spontaneity.
From a distance, the painting reads as a striking still life with dramatic contrast; up close, it reveals a richly textured surface animated by chromatic energy and expressive gestures.
This artwork is designed for collectors who appreciate contemporary floral painting, tactile surfaces, and expressive use of color. It brings intensity and sophistication to modern interiors.
Materials Professional DI VOLO oil colors applied with palette knife on chalk-primed cotton canvas.
Framing Unframed — painted edges, ready to hang.
